Photogrophy: Deja vu, Fire Storms

The Cedar Creek Fire was devastating. I could see flames over my back fence. One of my son’s college friends was confined to a wheel chair and lived in the middle of it. He was in his wheel chair heading down the street when two guys in a pick-up truck asked him if he could use a ride. They hoisted the wheel chair on to the bed of their truck and saved his life. One of my sons, and his family, was evacuated three times from different locations all over the city.

A photography friend of mine was a border patrol agent called in to fight the fires.

Fires season has started again too soon. It’s May and five big fires have broken out. I am gathering photographs in case we need to evacuate. I came home today to find a huge smoke funnel to the north of us. Freeways both east and West of us have been shut down.

We have fires again
